VILLA MAVRAKI in Skopelos

LIVING, KITCHEN, DINING, FULL BATHROOM The entrance of the house takes one into the open plan indoor, with air conditioning and 50" HDTV, comprising kitchen, dining and living. The dining table flows into the center of the space, between the two different sitting areas - both with convertible sofas. Numerous windows on 3 sides of the room bring in the light and the views. To the side, next to the stairs, there is a full bathroom, with a walk-in shower. The kitchen at the rear of the ground floor space is fully equipped with electrical appliances and plenty of utensils and crockery, making cooking a real pleasure, while looking out at the virgin forest from the many windows. A side door leads to the covered patio for easy serving of your alfresco dinners. 

2 bedrooms • 2 ensuite bathrooms • private balconies • dedicated workspace From the living room area, access to the spacious landing hall of upper level is via the handcrafted wooden staircase (18 comfortable steps). In the common area of the hall there is a dedicated workspace with desk and wifi that’s well-suited for working. There are two well-appointed double bedrooms upstairs, with traditional exposed beamed roofs. Each bedroom has a furnished covered balcony, en-suite full bathroom with walk-in shower, wardrobe, 32" HDTV and AC, making it a private retreat. 

PATIO •  Dine alfresco under the covered patio area, admiring the view of the sea and the neighboring pristine forest. This is a lovely spot of the house with constant sea breezes and it has direct access from the side kitchen door for easy serving. The wooden dining table can accommodate 6 people. FRONT YARD •  Spacious area with easy access from all living room patio doors. Sun loungers, garden furniture and umbrellas at your disposal to enjoy the sun and the views by the pool. PARKING •  The parking area, at the back side of the house, can accommodate 2 cars.

Mamma Mia! - 3,2 km from the house Not really a beach, rather a cove under the Mama Mia! rock and church. Go early morning or after 15:00" to avoid parking problems and lots of visitors. You can access the beach easy following a path and steps. The water is crystal clear and great for snorkeling and there are rocks to climb and sit on. On the beach there are sunbeds and umbrellas to rent.  Perivoliou beach - 6,9 km from the house During the summer months, our guests will have the privilege of enjoying free sunbeds and umbrellas on this unspoilt beach.  Loutraki beach - 5,8 km from the house The port of Glossa is called Loutraki and is just a few seconds walk to seaside bars, cafes and traditional tavernas.There is easy parking here and a clean beach for swimming with changing box for bathers to dress and undress.

The property is located in the rural area of Mavraki in Glossa. There are no houses nearby. In general, don't expect wide roads on the island. The access to the private plot of the villa is via a short road, off the main asphalt road to Agios Ioannis beach (the Mamma Mia site). The access from the plot to the private parking and the villa is via a steep cement lane. GETTING AROUND  Villa Mavraki is near the road to the beach and the chapel of Agios Ioannis, on Mamma Mia Cliff, setting for the famous wedding scene. An early morning drive from the house to the site, before the visitors start arriving, feels like another world entirely. To enjoy the island to the fullest, a vehicle is essential. Prior to your arrival, I can assist on renting a vehicle from our local agency at a reasonable price, if you wish so. For motorbike rental, a driving license is required.
